My thanks to Charles Jordan for these photos. Charles attended Changi Secondary School from Sept '57 to April 1960, and then returned to Changi with the RAF from June '65 to December 1967.

My thanks to Peter Todd for these photos. Peter says that "I lived there between 1965 to 1967. My farther was a Sgt in the RAF Regiment with 26 sqnd base at Telok Paku Changi. We lived at Carmen Street, Siglap, Opera Estate."

Thanks to Keith Egan for these family photos from his time in Singapore. Keith's father was in a corporal in the RAF regiment 26 Squadron, and lived in Singapore from October 1964 - January 1967 at 5 Siglap Drive, Frankel Estate.

My Father (Sgt) James (Jim) Thornton was with the Far East Air Force, (RAF) 48 Sqn Adjt during his time in Singapore circa 1969 - 1971. We resided at No. 9 Jalan Chempaka Puteh, nr Bedok (pronounced bedo) and I went to Changi Junior School. Until recently I lost contact with a teacher who gave me great inspiration in the early years, a fine gent called John D Belsey who moved to Hastings when he left the Far East and was doing volunteer work with the RNLI.

Many thanks to Colin Murphy for these photos of Alex Infants from 1967 to 1969. Colin said " My father was a Sergeant in the New Zealand Army at the time and was posted to HQ FARELF at Tanglin as a Movements NCO. My younger brother attended pre-school at Tanglin. Dad represented 28ANZUK Bde in Cricket and I have many memories of watching cricket at Tanglin and Nee Soon along with regular trips to the Dover Road Swimming Pool and the Tanglin Pool. I returned to Singapore for a second time in 1975 and this time attended the New Zealand Services School on Admilralty Rd, in Sembawang near the Naval Base."
