Built by the main contractor Sir John Jackson in the early 1920's to house his staff. Built conveniently close to Beaulieu House a planters property requisitioned to be used by Navy Dept staff supervising the contract. On completion of the build of the Naval Base the block was converted to a mess for single civilian men posted from the UK to work at the Dockyard. Beaulieu House became the Chief of Staffs House.
