Biography I was in Singapore from 1959 - 1962 (Dad was in Royal Signals) we first lived at Pasir Panjang flats then moved to Royal Road (Alexandra Park), then moved again to Amoy Quee where Dad was Captain of the Station.
We were in Singapore again from 1969 - 1970 (Dad worked at HQ FARELF Tanglin) This time we lived briefly at Island View before Dad was MedEvaced back to the UK.
During the first trip, I attended a nursery school near Seletar or Changi then entered an infant school around 1960.
I also attended Rose Ebberwein's dance school - how I loved that! . . little knowing that I would be paid to perform in later years.
On returning to Singapore for a second posting, I went to Bourne School Gillman 12G from 1969-70 before returning to London England.
Does anyone remember the Oily Men ?! We were regularly plagued with naked men dancing in the garden at Island View !!?
I visited Singapore in 2005 en route to New Zealand and then again in 2012.
Apart from Singapore, we lived in Dusseldorf, Catterick and London.
