Singapore Naval Base - Japanese Occupation U-Boats

1945. German U-boats U-181 and U-862 alongside IJN battleship 'Myoko'. The U-boats were trying to trade mercury for raw materials for Germanys high spec steel manufacture but were trapped in Singapore after the fall of Germany. The Japanese commandeered the subs and renamed them I-501 and I-502 respectively.
