Allocated to civilian chargeman and similar grades along with their families on a posting to Singapore. The bungalow had a great view over the Dockyard with sight of any ships berthed on North Wall.

Allocated to civilian chargeman and similar grades along with their families on a posting to Singapore. At times. i.e. during the early days of the build of the base and post Japanese occupation when families were not present. These properties were allocated to three or four single men who were usually on an unaccompanied two year posting. During Japanese occupation some of these bungalows were used as workshops.
