David Thornton - RAF Changi

My Father (Sgt) James (Jim) Thornton was with the Far East Air Force, (RAF) 48 Sqn Adjt during his time in Singapore circa 1969 - 1971. We resided at No. 9 Jalan Chempaka Puteh, nr Bedok (pronounced bedo) and I went to Changi Junior School. Until recently I lost contact with a teacher who gave me great inspiration in the early years, a fine gent called John D Belsey who moved to Hastings when he left the Far East and was doing volunteer work with the RNLI.
