After much investigation by the Facebook
Group 'On a Little Street in Singapore' it was agreed that
this caption is wrong.
They concluded
the photo was taken at Serangoon Road. 211 is at junction of
Race Course Lane and Serangoon Road. There is a bus stop on the
opposite side. All these are consistent with the photos by
Frank Clewes and
Alan
